He is alive but the last 4 or so inchs of his tail do not look like they are reacting like the rest of him. Is there anything I can do?

The first time I heard it hit the floor while I was watching TV. The next time it got out and ran the cat DMZ zone and I found her under my stove, with a cat staring at it. She was limp and stuck to the floor, but forunatly, she made it. I had to rinse the dog and cat fur off her, but she is still fine. Once again, I'm sorry for your loss.
