Posted - 29/03/2010 : 11:49:58 They are doing great- got some more pictures to put up but haven't got around it it yet. Two of them have fully formed back legs now and the other 2 have them growing nicely.
They also have names now too: Attilla, Timujin, Boudicca and Hannibal
Here's a photo update: (although these pics are already a few weeks old)

Posted - 31/01/2010 : 14:41:22 Mega Photo update:
Even caught him eating a daphnia:
Thought I'd explain the camera set up for taking photos of the tiny little axies - I've tried various set ups with different lenses, but with this combination I find I get the best results... just wish I could afford a dedicated macro lens at the moment. but the macro extension rings were only a fiver so I can't complain at the results.
and the set up in action:

Posted - 31/01/2010 : 09:22:19 We lost another 2 yesterday so have 7 left.
Hope 7 is a lucky number for axies. |

Posted - 29/01/2010 : 09:52:20 We're hoping we wont loose the 9 that's left out of the 25ish we got as spawn. Some just never started eating, guess that's natural that a few don't make it - just hope we have no more losses now Id they all get to adulthood we will be keeping two of them. |
