I want to put some FBTs in my exo terra and had a few questions
I'm gonna have it mostly water with a rocky/mossy outcrop-island in the middle so...
I need a water filter... can anyone recommend an appropriate one? Is there anything else i need to think about?
Thanks |

Posted - 23/07/2009 : 22:45:39 Hi, Jono. Im using a Fluval 1 internal filter, http://www.aquariumguys.com/fluvalinternal.html (Sorry its an american site) Its powerful enough to keep the water clean to a certain degree but not so powerful that is poses a threat to the frogs/toads. You can have it vertical with half under water and the other half out of the water, that way it creates a mini waterfall effect, Difficult to sleep with that noise though. You get a little sponge which goes inside the filter, just need to give it a rinse out every now and then.
Have you thought about making a little water feature? Its really easy. Just need a small pump and some tubing, my frogs abosulty love it when I turn their waterfall on, they'll all climb up and sit on water flow, lol.
Have fun |
