These are once again old pictures and my setups have changed slightly, but I thought I'd just show you how I used to have it.

My cabinet where all my froggies live.

Azurues tank clse up (left hand tank)

Regina tank close up (right hand side)

Cow's RUB

All the food I used to keep, changed a lot now and is not all kept in the cabinet.

You'll probably have to cut them up for your tiny little froggies, but Cliff and Richard should be alright with whole ones if they are on the small side.

Think it's best to feed them on clean veg for a week to purge out all the bad stuff, but not entirely sure if that's necessary.

Yeuch.... do I have to cut em up.... littlies are growing, but not that big...lol

We have an old composter... will get OH to dig through that!!

Easiest Jain- earthworms.

Go pick some out the garden, keep them in soil and feed them veg scraps. Don't know if they breed brilliant, but still free food!

Lol home alone. Ok I was to lazy to take pics tonight, sorry. Yeah ill put up some hows to's on how I do my cultures. They are so useful and save so much. I havn't bought any livefood for the past 3 months I think and I won't need to unless they crash for some reason.
Jain Posted - 15/12/2008 : 21:50:25
Wow.... can you put up some 'how to's for culturing your own please.... I am really interested.... particularly if it save's money and doesn't necessitate me picking the blighters up by hand!!

Like McCauley Culkin

I'll need to get new pictures up of my cultures and tanks, maybe tonight as I'll be home alone.

We are going to try and get the mealie culture again, bought a fresh batch so hopefully the mites won't get these ones
Punchfish Posted - 14/12/2008 : 23:34:50
Yeah I culture all my own food. Fruit flies are really easy after a month or two. Dubia roaches are very easy too, but take a while to get going, I recommend them over crickets any day. Also got bean weevils on the go to.
Kazerella Posted - 12/12/2008 : 17:15:34
That looks great- all the food tubs look interesting too. Are you culturing your own stuff? If so, what's easy?

I agree with you on misting systems. I have a Rainbow Boa and it's got to be easier and cheaper to just remember to mist the viv twice a day than it would be to buy, set up and run a mister.
Punchfish Posted - 10/12/2008 : 22:31:49
I just do it daily with a spray bottle, to be honest an automatic misting system is only worthwhile if you have numerous tanks. Much much cheaper to spray it yourself.

Nice... do you have to have a misting system with darts, or can you do it daily with a spray bottle??... J

Really nice setup you have, I could do with getting a cupboard like that for the feeders, supplements and misting bottle and stuff. Nice and organised unlike me! would love to keep darts, maybe in the future
