I've gotta get some more piccys up of Dave I think.
He's shown some amazing colours recently, he was a pearlescent bluey colour yesterday, but can I get my camera to take a decent pic? No.

What's the secrets for taking decent pics of metallic looking frogs?

This of course relies on you having something other than a point and shoot automatic camera... and having the know how to use it... lol..

Nowadays I sometimes get confused when trying to alter the settings on the camera on my phone!!.... I wonder how on earth I ever used to manage to turn out halfway decent pics with my old Olympus OM10 which is still up in the attic somewhere... Wouldn't even know which way up a light meter went nowadays, let alone get to grips with the more up to date versions of corel and photoshop... Age... comes to us all...lol

I'd say try and get him under natural light or as near to as possible, no flash. Depends on how still you can get him.
I find a longer exposure is better but you'll get a blurry throat where he moves - everything else should be crisp.
