Posted - 31/03/2010 : 19:28:24 Thanks for the replys, the substrate is fairly large gravel, i have to say it looks like she is swollen with air, but she has been like it for quite a while, she shows no sign of illness, she is eating and swimming well,. Does anyone know if there are any Axolotl specialists in the North Kent/South East london area?

Is his swimming wonky? Any floatation?
Any pics?
If it's just air it will right itself, but if it's something more serious like bloat or a bacterial infection you'll need to get it treated asap.
What temps is he at? I would keep it cool at around 7-10 degrees until it's sorted.
