Posted - 02/11/2010 : 20:21:03 Hi all,
Im new to keeping frogs but done alot of research but confidence is zero. I have just rescued a red eye tree frog. The owners kept him at room temperature and fed him in the morning and humidity was not kept high enough...
I have a few questions...
Firstly am i right by the temp during day should be about 76 and noght 71-72? or there abouts.
Also humidity between 70-90% so i thought 80%...
Feed last thing before the uv florecent light goes off?
Can anyone help on vitamins they require please...
At the moment there is moss and bark at the bottom and a platic plant but i plan on changing it to live plants and a waterfall....
Another question is there is a low wattage uv heater in there that the previous owner said to turn on at night????? Or am i right by saying just a low wattage red light for night time viewing as they can't see that red spectrum? Will red L.E.D's be ok?
Could really do with a quick reply if someone could help please....Temp when i collected him was 66f and now with lights of is 71f......
The heat mat is under the tank at the moment....I saw a few you tube video's with one on the side of the tank as well.
Please someone reply as i used another forum and no one has replied in days..
Thanks

Sorry I can't offer any advice on the red eyes. However if you are patient somebody will reply on here eventually, it can sometimes take a bit of time as it's a quiet site.
