live in manchester england and have a new cane toad. Its about 11 months old and it is called boop cos when you pick it up it says boopboopboopboopboop don't know if its a boy or girl any advice at all from somone who loves the litle beasties would be great. had to force feed it tonight just to make sure it ate something. will explain why if you want.. please help people in england know nothing about these little warty things..

It is awful- Mickey Marinus got me the other day when I was taking pictures of him for the care sheets.
He nearly drowned his dinner too as I'd just put 2 crickets in with him  |

To be honest, amphibians shouldn't ideally be handled unless checking they are healthy etc. Cane toads will bare it better than most.
The reason frogs and toads to this is to make themselves lighter so they can jump further away (it's not actually urine but a storage of water they dispose of to get away quicker) |

my lovely little toad Boop (named cos he makes a boop boopnoise likea truck reversing)Always emptys his obviously full bladder as soon as i pick him up (i thinkhe saves it lol). Will he stop doing this?, do you think or shall i always expect a loverly froogy shower?? |

We've only had our cane toad a few days but have noticed he likes siting about and spends a lot of time in his water bowl compared to our other toads - Here's our setup:

I have read care sheet. But the funny little thing just sits there like a statue while the bloody locusts walk over him!!! never seems to move from the corner of the tank and is not interested in the lovely moist hiding places i have given him! Whats his problem haha!??!! |
