Posted - 11/01/2011 : 11:40:26 I am setting my tank up for newts (fire belly) I was planning to add Tetra Aquasafe to treat the tap water and Bacterlife to help get the filter going and protect against new tank syndrome (as I would with fish), however someone in the fish shop said this was not a good idea for newts and they don't react well to this water treatment.
Can anyone advise
Thanks

Posted - 12/01/2011 : 09:38:27 We use repti safe to treat the tap water we use with our amphibians and not had a problem. They just don't like the chlorine or chlorinmenes.
We also have had success using rain water too. |
