I've been reading up on Darts and have noticed that come people say that Darts are suitable for beginners and others say that are not because they are too sensitive and require too much attention for people new to the hobby.
Just wondered what your opinions were on the subject?
Well most people say it's not the care of the frogs themselves thats hard- it's just getting the set up right and having a reliable source of tiny foods that's tricky.
They eat a lot too- about 10-20 prey items daily with daily dusting of vits. How the hell do you dust a fruit fly? They are too small
Dart Frogs are a hell of a lot easier than everybody thinks. Go for one of the 'Beginner' species and you won't be disapointed. If temperature is right 24-25C and humidity is high they are just fine.
You can get a fruit fly culturing kit from dartfrog.co.uk that is really simple!
If possible I'd try and pick up an adult pair from someone who is selling on a forum as a starting point!
