When I looked in on my frog Byers first thing this morning I found him on his back. I lifted him out of the tank and he gasped for air. I've put him in a little bowl of water so he can breathe. What else can I do?
He is 3 inches nv
18 months old
Lives in a 60 Liters tank
PH 7.6 Nitrate 5 Nitrite 0 Ammonia 0
No Substrate
Water Temp 25 C
Eats Crickets and fish pieces (Spiering stint Smelt Eperlan) feed 2 crickets or two pieces of fish every two-three days. He stopped eating reptomin.
Is in treated tap water treated with API Stress Coat (removes chlorine and Chloramines and replaces slime coat) & Tetra safe start or Nutrafin Cycle (Biological aquarium boaster)
Change the water weekly 30%
He's very listless, seems to be moving all limbs but couldn't swim well. I though he was died when i found him.
Can anyone suggest what I should do? He is sat in a mini take next to me at the moment and he is breathing but I'm no sure how long or if he will recover from this.
I've not heard of anything like this before and it seems like you have been looking after im really well.
Probably a good idea to go to the vets if he doesn't recover within a few hours.

Thanks. He is still fighting on. I am doing all I can. He is not swimming completely yet but is making progess. The vets is no use as these frogs only cost £4. I would take him because I don't want to lose him and don't care about the cost but the vet just has no experience with African Clawed Frogs.
