Excellent, well done.
Have you heard them croak yet? they do it when you're not expecting it. |

Not heard them croak yet... may be too young??... they are only just larger than a one pence piece!!
The change from dark brown when sleeping to the green you see above when I disturb them and the both eat on Thursday night (mealies) but only one ate last night. The other seemed a little distressed possibly... kept trying to climb side of viv (wilko's bargain one - perspex) , but would not stick too well (other one sticks just fine )... so have put them back on bookshelf and left to settle for a while, whilst I concentrate on finishing their aquarium today.
Not sure about names yet... the first that came to mind were fugg 'n ugly.... but not quite sure I can do that to them....... besides they are actually quite cute looking |

Yes it is... it gets used for all sorts (with sterilizing between times of course). It is so useful I have decided to pic up another next time I go into town. I nabbed the last one when I got this one, but that was some time ago, so hopefully had some more in by now.
Keep my crickets in a cricket keeper and in this little viv now... not that I'm terrified of any escaping etclol |

Those Wilko tanks are really good- especially for little baby snakeys like Wilbur and Tempo. We had Jalosepeade in one for a while too, but she's out grew it now. |

Ok... next daft question.... Not sure now that I have done the right thing in putting such small froggies in the big tank! Problem is, I cannot tell if they are eating or not. Bought a special mealie dish so the worms cannot escape easily into viv, and have put some mealies and a few crickets in there, and there are still some in there.... look as though a few have gone, but not sure if eaten or escaped into viv!?!
When I came down in the middle of night for loo stop, looked in lounge and one of froggies stuck to glass of tank just above and to side of mealie dish, so am hopeful that they ate! They were certainly eating when in Wilkies mini viv.
Took rocks apart earlier to see where they are hiding now, and both cuddled together under a rock pile so obviously have found their own hiding place and happily ignoring the egg box ones I put in there for them... little lovvies.
Am going to count the mealies and cricks in dish later, and see if I can count again in morning.... see if any more have gone, but have any of you any suggestions as to how else I could monitor this, or do you think I should put them back into little viv until they grow a bit more??
tankies.... J

I think putting them in the smaller tank is probably the best way of making sure they are eating, unless they will take mealies straight from you with tongs?
Lewy feeds his toads with tongs, so he can monitor exactly what each toad is eating. Mainly because he likes to watch them eat, but also because fatty Cliff would eat everything before Richard had chance if we just left the food in the terrarium |
