Any of you out there motorcyclists? I'm an avid cycler, and try to get out as often as schedule will allow. Just wondering what it is like cycling in the u.k. |

BTD is, Tizzy (not sure if she's on this forum) and I am, although my biking days have been non-existant for the past couple years due to not being allowed a 'big bike', so i have my 2 small little monkey bikes that have been unused for the past 18 months or so as well.
this is an old piccy of my 2 little ones, Angela (the red one) and Jessica (the black one).

I forgot you had those restrictions. What exactly are they? I think it's something like you have to start small for a length of time. I know I've read it in a magazine I get in the mail. I used to have a Brit plumber working for me that saind he lived right by the Belstaff factory. Just so happens that is what type of leather I own! |

My restrictions are due to the missus more than anything. [:(} My last proper bike was a 1997 Laverda 650F, was a beautiful bike, but poor tiny little me couldn't hold the front wheel down when hard accelerating. Was a fun bike. |

Yeah, I have a deal with my misses that I wont tell her how many shoes she can have and she wont tell me how many cycles I can have. A couple of years ago I had 5 bikes, but after the new goldwing was bought I sold 3. Icant get my big ass off the thing long enough to ride anything else!! I heard that Laverda was a hoot to ride. |

The lavvy being a hoot to ride was not the word. I weighed about 10 stone then, so the bike barely felt my weight and given the opportunity would happily take off like a possessed banshee. The only downside I would say about it was that it was all italian threaded, so when I changed the exhaust and lost a bolt it was a pig to get one again.

Sorry, english weight measurement. 10 stone is about 140lbs. When on that bike if I pulled the throttle back a bit to hard (as you do) it really did make the name 'crotch rocket' seem more realistic. |

Got it. I'll try to get a pic of my kawasaki up for you to check out. It's got a few mods and is a screamer as well. I used to own a kawasaki Gpz 750 turbo, not sure if you know what those were but man was that a scary bike! Fuel injection and a turbo with no waste gate on it, I cant beleive I'm on this side of the grass yet! |
