Okay so once I've got the pacman I would like to get some whites or maybe a couple of red eyes.
Found this on the ikea website which would be ideal with very little customisation. A nice tall display cabinet all glass (and metal) which is set up for adding lighting already. has a locking glass door - a bit of silicon around the edges and maybe a little acrylic to form a base so the substrate doesn't fall out when you open the door.
Looks ok, but you cant really see the doors in the pic. I wouldnt of thought it would keep the heat in very well as the corners are metal and the rest is glass?
Ikea rocks for stuff that can be converted - its an older storage unit that I am hoping to start converting over christmas.
However, it looks to me as though it is only one full glass door at front... would need to give thought to how would stop all inhabitants escaping when main door was opened! Perhaps a secondary door system in each section? If putting something at bottom front of each section to stop substrate falling out etc., maybe a system of perspex attached at the base with velcro or similar???
?? Heating... a heat strip up back / side wall section??
