buy a packet of watercress seeds, plant em in a little potting compost and let em grow a bit, then stick the whole jolly lot in so that the soil level is about an inch below the waterline at first... no grean water!! Saves on the cost of those flamig great light thingys... and better job done too...
All water will go a little greenish, but should stay reasonably clear... my pond has stayed clear as a bell outside all summer... just had to dose occasionally for pondweed!! My toad colony is growing well.... moved a plant pot the other day and found loads of babies!!! |
