Hi
Ive got 2 axolotl's who are 5 years old. Recently one has put on a great deal of weight, her belly is really swollen and for about a week she's been floating to the top of the aquarium. She chases her food with no problem so she's alive but doesnt appear in good health. Does anyone have any suggestions on why she's floating? Is this normal? Its never happened before and it hasnt happened to my other Axy
Thanks in advance

Don't know too much about axy's really, could it be a female? Is she gravid? (pregnant/ready to lay eggs) you could possibly have some spawn on the way? Oh and welcome to the forum - post some photos of your axy's we're wanting to get some soon for the new tank/pond in the garden!
