i just purchased my first frog and it is a young whites tree frog. im wondering if fallen tree branches from my yard are safe to put in the tank for the frog to climb on? also, is there anything i need to do to the branches before putting them in the tank with the frog? i want to ensure a happy and healthy environment for my new pal. any info on this matter would be greatly appreciated. tanks.

You need to make sure that any collected branches are not toxic before using them and that they are from a chemical-free area. I know fruit tress are alright so use in snake vivariums, but I would do a bit of research to make sure this is true for frogs too.

I wouldn't recommend treating a branch intended for amphibian use with bleach or anything similar, so I would probably opt for just sanding down the bark as much as possible, giving it a soak in boiling water and/or baking it in the oven for an hour at 100 degrees to kill any nasties.
