I'm not sure. The textbook only mentioned that they live in all developmental stages in those conditions. Unfortunately most of my textbooks focus on the bugs that break down corpses.

Bugs are normally pretty good at knowing if they should eat something or not. If they haven't started munching within 15 minutes then they probably won't. Just a bit of trial and error really.

If I come across anything else I'll post it .
